So. I think I won’t be using a Kindle again. I prefer books. End of story. Franzen’s Freedom. Not as good as The Corrections. There, I said it. Now that I’ve read his Two Big Novels, I gotta say- those wacky, unbelievable plot twists that bring unlikely characters dissatisfaction on the other side of the world annoy [...] I was walking to casual carpool this morning, and passed some kids on their way to the high school around the corner from me. They’re at that point now, where their new school clothes have all been seen by their friends and the shiny white of their new gym shoes is not quite so brilliant. September [...] So, we’ve been living it up righteously lately, haven’t we? I feel like since the arrival of Will and Lauren in California, I haven’t had a moment’s peace. Which isn’t such a bad thing, all things considered. Good distractions and whatnot. We went to the Giants game on Friday- me, Lauren, Katie-Jo (visiting from Brooklyn), [...] Katie-Jo and Steve are here!
The weather was warm, the company was good.

I just looked at my Google Analytics. Not even my parents read this blog anymore. I need to get crackin’ on some new content, y’all. It’s kind of funny that I’m busy doing super fun things and not writing about them, because when I was writing a ton, I was mostly sitting in my bed with the [...] I’ve been Livin’ Life, y’all.

I did something last night that I kind of regret. I read some old posts. I don’t often do it, because I’m generally embarrassed for myself-2-weeks-ago, and I like to reserve my most shattering eye rolls for people who don’t see it coming. But I was on BART and didn’t want to read my book, so [...] So, you know what that means! More photos of the Snuggler. Shit is going DOWN y’all. I got my first business cards (I now network like a fool). Gay marriage is almost okay here in CA (Double Rainbow! So beautiful!). I love my job very, very, very much. I went back to MA for the first time [...] Other than my ceiling collapse, what’s new with me? Still jobless, which kind of sucks, since I think Brian is starting to tire of my constant be-slippered presence in our house. I started running. I know, people. Marie? Cardio? WTF? My preferred form of exercise is yoga, and apparently there aren’t any places looking for dedicated bathroom-swabbers in [...] It’s been raining here a lot since we moved in, which I don’t really mind, because, whatever, it could be snow. Rain, psh, NBD, I can handle you. It’s been clear the last few days, but the rain resumed this afternoon, gently but distinctly pattering down our gutters. It’s a noise I’ve gotten very used to [...] |
