I like music. I’m not a constant iPod-wearer or compulsive album-buyer, but I like music and I like it even more live. Concerts have played a pretty integral role in my relationship with Brian, and going to them has always been something I enjoy. We tend to go to one or so a month, more in [...] So after about 6 months of not taking personal or vacation days, I decided to choose last week to do so. It was the week after which I had 3 days off for the wake and funeral, so, yes, I had 5 days off in 10 days of work. Shush, you. I went up to the beach [...] I’ve been lucky in my life to not have been too surprised by death. Minimal tragic accidents, no swine flu, no suicides- we mostly get cancer and old age deaths in my family. Passing away has never really sneaked up on me, and last week was no exception. It’s been so long since I felt your warm, binary embrace. I’ve been in touch with you here and there, but for the most part, we’ve been separate for a while now. Lots went down while we were apart, funerals, vacations, naps, crippling stomachaches. I will sit down [...] I bought a pair of skinny jeans last night. I was peer pressured by the millions of girls (and boys, now, weird) that now wear them. I saw a pair of black ones at the Gap and I thought, yeah, those might be all right. They were. They’re black denim, with sort of riding pants-esque seams [...] Taylor Swift would probably be my favorite guilty pleasure. Not that she isn’t now, I just kiiiind of wish I could have legitimately put “You Belong with Me” in my AIM away message.
