I only wish the Facebook people used the same algorithm when choosing their targeted marketing for my profile.

I wish I had those kind of brows that are bushy, yet perfectly shaped by a skeptical eye roll. After looking at myself in the mirror and promising to do it that very night then, oh hey, this book needs reading, and this thumbnail needs filing and whoops it’s nearly 10 o’clock, I can’t start now, for weeks on end, I yelped an eyebrow threading salon in SF and got that shit fixed up.
I’d never been threaded before, but after my last few times waxing, I decided now was the time. My skin breaks out in ugly little bumps, and my skin gets burned and irritated any time I wax, and there’s all those bloggers and ladies in the checkout line at Sephora and girlfriends getting their lattes at Starbucks- they’re getting threaded. Man, the first world is full of peer pressure.

Anyway. It was $13, a little less painful than waxing and the result was pretty much what I’d hoped:

Decent arch, though not as skeptical as I would like. But at least next time I know what to ask for.

Granted, I read pretty much every news story that gets published on the web, but I really got excited to see that Rory Douglas had a new column about MMA up, but will probably have to read it, here, at my desk, sitting up, instead of recumbent with a cat on my legs.

This will be a short list for sure, because, you know, I like my job and paychecks and talking to people on a daily basis. But occasionally, I wish I could still wake up at 11, drink some tea, have a snuggle with the cat and catch up on all the nonsense that the Internet has to offer.

Things are like that right now.

But I did have a fun Saturday. And Lauren gets here in less than a week, Kah [...]]]> You know that part of Inception where everything comes shattering down in giant chunks and the van is going in the water and people might be dying and things are not going according to plan?

But I did have a fun Saturday. And Lauren gets here in less than a week, Kah and Khemra arrive in less than a week, Katie-Jo and Steve in 3 weeks. And the cat is STILL CUTE.

So maybe it’s not all bad. Just maybe most of it.

I went back to MA for the first time since moving (omg the weather there. terrible). Brian turned 25. I got some really awesome things I can’t wait to take pictures of and show you guys. The Prop 19 vote is approaching, Brian is running around legalizing marijuana like a madman. L-Bag is coming to visit on Saturday and coming to live here forever and ever1!! at the end of the month. We might be adding to the Bergeron-McIntosh-McCuddlykins family too. Keep your eyes peeled.
